The IANTD Advanced Nitrox course is designed to extend the divers knowledge and skill in the use of Nitrox mixtures. It is one of the most popular courses and for many divers this is the first step towards technical diving involving decompression and the progression to deeper depths.
This course qualifies the diver in the use of Nitrox gas for use as both bottom mix and for accelerated decompression. Upon completion of the course the diver is capable of diving to a maximum depth is 42m and incurring decompression stops on mixtures of up to 100% oxygen.
A substantial amount of the course is aimed at developing the necessary skills and procedures for decompression diving.
The course is structured with the first day covering the necessary theory and the second a mixture of theory and practical workshops to learn new skills and work on equipment configuration. Subsequent days are spent gradually increasing depth on training dives to a maximum of 42msw. There is also time spent upon dive planning and use of a variety of dive planning tables & software.
Please note that entry fees, gas and accommodation are not included in the course costs
